Lizzy C Photography in action!

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

So as I mentioned in my previous post, the amazingly talented husband and wife team, Peter and Emily from Living Lens came along on an engagement session that I photographed recently.

The video attached illustrates a session with Lizzy C Photography and showcases Emily and Peter’s stunning work.  See the photos from this session here.

Nathan and Liz’s E-Session

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I’ve been a bit behind with this blog, I’ve been very busy working on jobs for my commercial clients of late. However, I thought this engagement session with Liz and Nathan could rejuvenate the blog!  Liz and Nathan got all rugged up and braved the Melbourne cold for this photo session with me! They were real troopers and didn’t mind snuggling up close for the photos, or maybe it was for warmth?!

Liz and Nathan, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next month and your fleet of vintage cars.  Will you be wearing your driving hats?!

Emily and Peter from Living lens also came along. Check out their beautiful videography on their website. I am looking forward to seeing the footage from the session!

Grandad’s birthday portrait session

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Julie organised a gift certificate with me to give to her dad as a birthday gift.  So one very rainy Melbourne afternoon they got all the family together and we did some photos for Tom’s birthday.

The kids were tired but they pulled out the smiles intermittely for the camera, often not simultaneously but we got some great shots regardless!

Here is a small selection from their session.

J & B’s Retro Inspired Wedding

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Despite the massive thunderstorm and potential flooding, in true Melbourne style the weather turned around completely for Ben and Jessamy’s wedding!

Talking of true Melbourne style, check out the bride and groom!

Melissa Jacob from the ceremony store conducted Ben and Jessamy’s relaxed and quite amusing ceremony at the St Kilda botanic gardens which was followed by croquet in the gardens.

Ben and Jessamy have fond connections with St Kilda and liked the idea of including the urban landscape in their wedding photos.  So we wandered from the ceremony to the reception and snapped some great shots on the way.  Ben even became a part of the city landscape when a pigeon resting on an eve above decided to drop his business on Ben’s shirt!  Ben and Jessamy weren’t phased at all, we had a good laugh and continued on! See photo of Jessamy tenderly wiping off said poop from Ben…

Ben and Jessamy I wish you all the best of luck (not that you’ll need it, thanks to that pigeon!)

I spend a lot of time working at the computer editing images and doing post production work… I thought I’d share with you an image from the Pattinson Wedding, which I am working on right now!

Have you ever thought about what potential clients think about you?

Everyone knows that it is important to make a good first impression. So you’ve got the bells and whistles website, a great product and you may even offer personalised customer service.  Then why do your staff profile photographs make them look like escaped convicts, or worse, why aren’t there photos of you or your staff at all? Who is offering this personalised service?

Professional photographs illustrate a professional image. Why would you have a professional-looking website without professional content?

Jane from MIRO (Enterprise Management Solutions) approached me for some business profile images of herself which would provide a tangible face to a largely virtual business.  Above all she wanted her photos to communicate the values of her business including professional, trustworthy, fun to work with and relaxed.  The photos below are a small selection of photographs from her session.
