Hanging out with the Crombie Family | Melbourne Family Photographer

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

You know your job isn’t half bad when you come home from and your shoes are full of sand.  How can I not love what I do?

I had an absolutely fantastic morning photographing the Crombie family.  Lovely little Tyler is an adorable kid with a beautiful personality, a definite reflection of his parents!

There are a few of the photos from the session, playing on the beach, flying like an aeroplane and exploring the trees looking for monkeys …

With a personal touch | Melbourne Wedding Photographer

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Last weeekend, I photographed Liz and Nathan’s wedding at Rosebank Receptions.  Liz and Nathan were an absolute pleasure to photograph, they are such a lovely, polite and beautiful couple and it just radiates from them.  Liz looked absolutely stunning! She has an infectiously natural smile and to top it off she is also extremely talented.  Liz put together all the flowers for their wedding including the bouquets, corsages and centre pieces! She even went the extra mile and made extra centre pieces so each female guest could take one home.

It’s the personal touches like these that make each wedding unique. Liz and Nathan’s wedding beautifully reflected these personal touches. Both Liz and Nathan’s family have vintage cars which were used as the wedding cars and Nathan’s lovingly restored MG even got to come along.  The rosebank homestead fitted in beautifully with the cars as it was built in approximately the same era.  Liz also wore her grandmother’s ring and added succulents from her mother’s garden to the bouquets and corsages making them that extra bit more special!  Lizzy C Photography

The Hive Event | Event Photographer Melbourne

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Last night I took photographs for the Hive’s monthly networking event for entrepreneurs. The Hive is really cool as it is free to attend, very relaxed and held monthly in Melbourne and Brisbane.  Each month they also have a speaker making it worth going, if you want to get inspired!  Last night was the founder of Flexicar, Monique Conheady.  Flexicar is an awesome car sharing initiative.  Check it out if you are considering a new car, only need a second car occasionally or want a cost effective alternative to Taxis or rental cars.  It might save you money and the added bonus is it’s great for the environment!

Back to The Hive…

The guys had been taking photos of the event on their iphones, which “surprisingly” they weren’t getting images that illustrated the relaxed atmosphere of the event or the crowds they were pulling in.  So along came me… and even though I had an iphone in my pocket, I used my slr to capture a few images (some seen in this post) which I think might better illustrate the event…

Leave a comment if you’d like to defend the iphone’s camera quality!

One week, and two different business coaches…

Last week I photographed Anne from Total Balance, a boutique training and coaching organisation with coaches in Melbourne and Sydney.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Anne who is extremely friendly and open.  She wanted new photographs for her website and for these  images to especially illustrate her capable, relaxed, warm, accepting and experienced personality.

What do your website photographs say about your business?  Contact me if they aren’t saying what you want them to say!

Also, thank you to my reliable and awesome team on this one, Sally for assisting me and Amy for make-up.

Recently I got together with Samantha Bell to take some photographs for her to use on her website.

Sam is a a personal mentor and a business consultant.  She is also a hoot to work with and has a really inspiring personality!

Despite some initial nervousness of Sam’s we had a great session with lots of laughs and some great photos.

Thanks for the great morning (and the coffee) Sam.

Grandma’s Visit | Melbourne Family Photographer

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Melbourne photographer

Sasha contacted me because her mum was visiting from Perth so she thought it’d be great to get some family photos together in Melbourne.

Everyone braved the weather and we went outside to explore.  This meant feeding the ducks by the lake, hoola hooping and hanging out under the autumn leaves.

4 year old chole was an absolute charmer to photographer.  She was not only great conversation but had plenty of great cheeky expressions.

Here are a few photos from their session.  Thanks for a great afternoon, Sasha, Daniel, Lorraine and Chloe! lizzy c photography

I caught this moment while photographing business profile photos for Sam Bell, while she was waiting for me to set up. I liked it, so I thought I’d post it.

If you like it, leave a comment!

Will post more from her session soon…
