Moira and David’s Sails on the Bay Wedding

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

This cold and dreary weather has me reminiscing about warmer days. Moira and David were married last month on a day the sun surprisingly came out to play.

They were married as the sun set over the bay in a beautifully relaxed ceremony at sails on the bay.  They streamed their ceremony live to friends and family who couldn’t make it and included a reading that a friend wrote specially.

Here are a few highlights from a fantastic day.

My Creative Space: Iphone adventures

Friday, May 13th, 2011

I don’t get a lot of free time and sometimes, when I do, the last thing I feel like doing is taking more photographs. And that scares me.

The thing is, I might not always feel like taking photographs but I am always seeing pictures. There is always a stream of conscious thought; thoughts I can’t turn off. Sometimes, along with the thought “that’d make a great image”, I might think “I wish I had a camera, with this particular lens, or that particular film”. The fact of the matter is, I don’t always feel like carrying my camera. But I am always carrying my iPhone. I can go on and on with technical reasons on why taking photos on an iPhone isn’t a good idea, but I can think of one really good reason to: it’s handy and I always have it on me.

Earlier this week I went up to Warburton to enjoy some fresh air, visit a good friend and just chill out. The following photos were taken on my iPhone.

Sally and Richard~ Melbourne Museum

Monday, May 9th, 2011

You know when you meet people and you think, these guys could have fun anywhere? Leave them in a padded cell together and you know they’ll figure out something to laugh about. I had that feeling when I met Richard and Sally. Nothing seems to phase these two. They just take it in their laid back stride and enjoy the ride.  To me, it is obvious that they really truly deeply enjoy each other’s company. Now that’s a good place to be, if you ask me.

These are a few photos we took at the exhibition gardens and Melbourne museum of them being them!

Can’t wait to photograph their wedding day!

Autumn Fun!

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011

Today I thought I’d post a couple of pictures from Bonnie and Bill’s engagement session. I’ve included a little animation I put together of Bonnie and Bill frolicking in the autumn leaves. As you can see they got right into it. Nothing stops these guys having a bit of fun!

Bonnie and Bill are an absolutely lovely couple. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later in the year!
