Simone and Rob’s Emu Bottom Homestead Wedding

Simone and Rob know each other pretty well, they had been together just a short 14 years prior to their wedding day. With a gorgeous tribe of kids to support them, they decided it was about time to make it official. Music was to provide an important ambiance on the day. The guests were charmed by the South American sounds of Inka Marka as they arrived and gathered on the lawn prior to the ceremony. Simone arrived to the sounds of Demis Rousso’s “The Wedding Song”, picked especially for its sentimental lyrics, as well as it being a touching and beautiful crowd pleaser. After the ceremony the guests wandered up to the Woolshed, all captivated and impressed by the simple, rustic and entirely spectacular venue. The twinkling fairy lights wrapped around the ceiling beams were accompanied by 100 cream carnations dangling at various lengths. The Woolshed felt cosy and relaxed as it was lit by candelabras, both on the tables and hanging from the rafters above. During the reception the Velvet Archers, a trio of musicians, played the night away! It was very special that the boys learnt and played at Simone and Rob’s request amazing renditions of “Kiss the girl” from the Disney movie “The Little Mermaid” and “Budapest” by George Ezra.

I just love this little story Simone shared about working with us. Gosh they are sweet!

Rob and I are both by far what some people might call PHOTOPHOBIC!! In our 14 years together we had only managed to have one photo which we both agreed was framable; as such we thought we would save money and count on family shots to capture the day! Ohhh Lord, then the parents found out and you can guess what happened next…  yes, let’s just say they strongly felt we should seek professional services! So when we came to meet with Lizzy C Photography it was upon the high recommendations from our wedding venue, Emu Bottom Homestead. They love Lizzy C out there!! Our first meeting – EASY! Lizzy was relaxed, friendly, and was able to show us loads of examples of her work; this was by far a no-brainer for us – we booked Lizzy C on the spot and we were happy! Our initial engagement session was at Fitzroy Gardens upon our request. Amazingly Lizzy successfully shot an abundance of photos, all with Robs eyes open and no flashes making me look like Casper! On our wedding day, the girls whipped around snapping pics left, right and centre. Their easy-going approach was matched with professionalism; they were simply fantastic and all those they encountered on the day felt relaxed and happy in their presence… well done girls, we look forward to the finished product!! corporateportraitsMelbourne_0025.jpg corporateportraitsMelbourne_0026.jpg corporateportraitsMelbourne_0027.jpg corporateportraitsMelbourne_0028.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0029.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0031.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0030.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0032.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0033.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0034.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0035.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0036.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0037.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0038.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0039.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0040.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0041.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0042.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0043.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0044.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0046.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0045.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0047.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0048.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0049.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0050.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0051.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0052.jpg EmuBottomHomestead_wedding_0053.jpg Wedding Location: Emu Bottom Homestead – Garden & Woolshed Reception
