Portrait Profile: Andy Evans

I have the pleasure of working with people from all different industries and walks of life. I recently photographed Andy and his colleagues at Offshore Wind Australia. They are working towards introducing off shore wind farms to Australia and hosting Australia’s first ever off shore wind conference. We had a chat about what Andy does and his experience of a Lizzy C Photography portrait session.

What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.

I’m a renewable energy developer hoping to introduce offshore wind farms on a broader scale to Australia.

Tell me about how you got into your field.

I was working in renewable energy as a lawyer and curiosity got the better of me so wanted to look at developing new projects myself with partners

What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?

Not so much advice but a realisation that you have to follow your gut and what you enjoy and if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again

Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?

I am big on personal branding and a lot of my work and how I attract it is based on what I stand for and how I present. My work is a little out of the ordinary and based on my personality so needed something to match that. also, my previous photos made me look too young at a stage that a bit of silver in my hair actually is a benefit.

Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?

I needed someone who would help convey and capture me in my natural sense and it was clear from her website and discussions that she would be perfect – and she was!

Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?

Absolutely delighted with the results and we had a lot of fun whilst shooting.
