Melbourne Photographer, Professional Headshots & Corporate Photography

Portrait Profile: Anthony Ranieri

I have the pleasure of working with people from all different industries and walks of life. I recently photographed Anthony,a multi skilled individual who is a published author as well as an established professional in his field. It was a pleasure to capture his friendly personality.  Afterwards, we had a chat about what he does and his experience of a Lizzy C Photography portrait session.

What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.

I am a Melbourne-based professional with a bachelor’s degree in human resources, and I have extensive experience working in senior corporate positions in that capacity. I have written many business articles on the topic of job hunting. My first book was published in 2003 by Tandem Press in Australia and New Zealand, How to Find a Job in 6 Weeks.

My second book, world football domination – the virtual talent scout was published in 2019  and was my first work in the football genre.  The idea of writing a book about my passion for football bloomed a long time ago, as during my spare time, I was an active referee for over ten years before retiring from the profession. I also coached football at the junior level and followed the careers of my children in the sport as a parent.

What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?

The best piece of career advice was not to be frightened to chase your dreams. Now is always a good time to explore your passion—to make start on a new adventure.

Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?

I wanted to improve my author page biography and representation. I also to include my photo in future book publishing covers.

Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?

I found Lizzy’s brief on the internet approachable and perfect for my intentions to create great author photos. Lizzy was accommodating and worked hard to make the photo’s work for me. I must admit I was a little apprehensive driving to the photo studio—not knowing to expect! Lizzy managed to make me feel good about the whole photo shoot.

Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?

Absolutely, I was not an easy person to photograph because I am middle age and not in my prime when it comes to being photogenic. My goal was to look as engaging and emphatic as possible in my pictures—someone you would want to have a coffee with and share your story. Lizzy pulled it off!
