What do you do?
I am presently in Finance looking after the Asia Pacific region for an LSE listed Company in the Education Services Sector. I am about to embark on an exciting work life change which is the reason I am getting my portraits updated.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
The University of Melbourne B Com ticket took me into PwC. With that great start I moved from the Profession into the Corporate Finance area where I have taken up CFO or equivalent roles in diverse industries including Technology distribution, Transport and Logistics, Retail, Book Publishing and Education Services
Tell me a bit about what you do.
The last few years have been the best so far because they took me away from the routine associated with the Finance function. I have spent a lot of time travelling, sometimes to our offices in London and New York but mostly to businesses in the Asia Pacific area, mainly in China and India. I have been working on acquisitions, both pre and post acquisition. When a business is acquired I have been integrating the Finance functions in those new businesses. Lately, there has been major divestment from the Group and separating what was previously a fully integrated business unit has been a challenging but interesting process.
Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?
This is the second time I have used Lizzy C for portraits. My first experience was great so I went back when it came time to update the portraits
Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with
the results of your shoot?
My whole life I have been convinced that, contrary to the old adage, the Cameral does indeed lie! I do not take a good photo! I think the reason Liz’s portraits work is that she makes me relax and so, instead of a forced, almost self conscious look, she manages to bring out a more natural expression which in turn improves the outcome. In my view she weaves magic and I am delighted with the outcomes.
