Corinna and Peter – Carlton Gardens

On a recent visit to Melbourne from Sydney, Corinna and Peter invited me the Royal Exhibition Building for a little engagement session. A gorgeous Sunday afternoon spent exploring the garden’s of Melbourne’s beautiful Exhibition building and one of Melbourne’s greatest museums — how could I say no?

Corinna and Peter are getting married in Melbourne — Peter’s hometown — in December, so this was a perfect chance to get to know them before their big day. Though Peter’s family lives in Melbourne, Corinna is from Germany, and she can’t wait for her family to arrive for their wedding. They’ve rented a house on the coast to enjoy with their international guests.

We shared a laugh when Peter’s inner school teacher came out — he started the shoot posing as if for a yearbook photo. Corinna looked stunning in a bold print dress that she’d bought at the Exhibition Building’s Finders Keepers Market just the day before.

    Hi Lizzy,
Just looked back at the pictures from our little engagement session now that our wedding is coming up in 8 weeks (!).
Just wanted to say again I absolutely love the pictures, you made us both feel so comfortable, especially as Peter and I felt a little awkward at the start! 🙂 But you managed to calm our nerves and it felt so natural in the end having our picture taken in the middle of Carlton Gardens with strangers walking past! I love the pictures and we gave a few prints to some friends and family overseas so it was really nice to make them feel like they’re taking part in our wedding preparation that way.
Looking forward to seeing you again on our wedding day and I can’t wait to see all the lovely pictures that I’m sure you will be taking on our big day!
    Thanks again,
    Corinna & Peter
